Spiritual Warfare: The World, the Flesh, the Devil, and the Glory of God - by Magdalene

Spiritual Warfare Verses

I.  What God says about His Word

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Num 23:19)

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Mat 24:35)

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God (Rev 19:13).

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psa 138:2)

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psa 107:20).

II.  The Name of the LORD / The Name of Jesus Christ

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe (Pro 18:10).

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God (Psa 20:7 ).

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD (Psa 116:13).

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole (Act 4:10 ).

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all (Act 3:16).

But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour(Acts 16:18).

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name (Php 2:9)

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (Eph 1:21 ).

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Php 2:10 );

III.  Prayer & Praise

First, pray a prayer asking God for deliverance concerning your specific need in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and thank Him for His answer. Say this prayer as often as you need to in order to remain in God's peace, and stand. Second, comprise a prayer (or buy a book on spiritual warfare prayers for Christians) for confessions of faith and taking authority over the devil spirits in Jesus name, if you are being harassed or fighting strongholds such as fear, depression, or discouragement, etc., and stick with it no matter how you may feel. As the Word instructs,

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Heb 11:6).

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Gal 6:9 ).

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Heb 4:16).

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms (Jas 5:13 ).

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost (Jud 1:20 ),

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (Joh 15:7).

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full (Joh 16:24)

Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD (Psa 113:1) .

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore (Psa 113:2).

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high (Psa 7:17 ).

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand (Psa 149:6 );

IV. Against Condemnation

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful (Psa 116:5).

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (Joh 1:17)

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Mat 26:28

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (Eph 1:7 );

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God (1Co 6:11 ).

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption (Eph 4:30).

Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand (Rom 14:4).

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Rom 8:1 ).

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God (1Jn 4:15).

Are you being mocked by the kingdom of darkness because your deliverance seems delayed? Confess this truth: Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

V. Assert Your Authority in Christ - the Power of God - the Power of the Blood of Christ

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Act 10:38).

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Co 3:17).

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men (Eph 4:8).

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

. . . For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1Jn 3:8).

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil (Heb 2:14);

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (Joh 10:10 -11)

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1Jn 4:4 ).

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death [fully committed](Rev 12:11 ).

Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you (Luk 22:20).

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day (Joh 6:54).

For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed (Joh 6:55).

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Eph 2:13 ).

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus (Heb 10:19),

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mar 16:17-18 );

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him (Isa 59:19).

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6:12).

VI. Worry, Doubt, Fear

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing (Psa 34:10).

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2Ti 1:7 ).

And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit (Luk 12:25 )?

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2Co 10:5 ).

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy (Jas 5:11).
